NSP

In the summer of 2020, I volunteered to mentor through the Society for Neuroscience, Neuroscience Scholars Program (NSP). The NSP is a two year professional development program that gives graduate and post-doctoral level trainees enhanced opportunities to learn more about careers, research practices, and networking opportunities among others. As a former NSP fellow, I volunteered to mentor a neuroscience Ph.D. candidate admitted to the NSP associate program for one year. My mentor and I met bi-weekly to work on oral presentation skills, maintaining momentum in dissertation writing, and interpreting data.
